Turkey - Netherlands Foreign Trade
The Netherlands has always been among the top trade partners of Turkey. The exports directed to the Netherlands ranked 13 rd both in 2008 and 2009 in the total Turkish exports. On the other hand, the imports from the Netherlands of Turkey realized as US $ 3.0 billion and 2.5 billion respectively.
The foreign trade balance with the Netherlands has improved in favor of Turkey starting from 2004 and this trend continued in 2009. It has been realized as US $ -416 by the end of 2009 due to the sharp decrease in imports of the Netherlands from Turkey reflecting the negative effect of global financial crisis.
